Police monitor finalists to participate in public forum

The finalists for the independent police monitor position for the City of Madison will be introduced at a virtual event on Thursday, Aug. 18, at 5 p.m., according to a release from the city. Candidates will have an opportunity to answer questions from members of the Police Civilian Oversight Board and there will be an opportunity for public feedback. Members of the public may attend this event virtually or stream the event live online. The event will also be recorded and made available to the public. The Police Civilian Oversight Board will deliberate the hiring decision in a closed session on Aug. 25.
