The price of seemingly everything is going up these days, and so too will the price of a PlayStation 5.
According to the Verge, the PlayStation 5 will cost $649.99 on April 2, a $100 increase. That’s for the base console. The digital edition, which does not play physical disc media, will rise from $499.99 to $599.99. The PlayStation 5 Pro, an upgraded console featuring more robust firepower and features, will cost $899.99, up from $749.99.
The PlayStation Portal, a device that allows players to remotely play games in their home if they have a PlayStation 5 console, will increase from $199.99 to $249.99.
Sony had previously raised prices for the consoles by $50 in August 2025.
