Plans have been laid for the site of the once popular but now defunct The Stadium bar across from Camp Randall Stadium. The Opus Group, together with Chicago-based Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, LLC, will build a six-story student housing complex with about 7,500 sq. ft. of ground-floor retail space at 1423 Monroe St. The 162-bed development, named Varsity Quarters, breaks ground in August and should be completed in time for the 2014 school year.
