Plan could give county employees $1,000 payments

A plan to give $1,000 in one-time payments to county employees has a good chance of passing, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. Dane County Executive Joe Parisi and county supervisors have proposed the $3 million payment plan to offset the impact of inflation. The plan outlined in a recent memo to county employees stated that Parisi was confident the County Board would sign off on the plan in the coming weeks. Under the proposal, full-time county employees would get a $1,000 one-time payment, part-time employees would each get a prorated payment, and limited-term employees would get a payment based on the number of hours they worked in the previous six months.
