A plan to demolish the Stadium Sports Bar & Eatery on Monroe Street to clear the way for a six-story multipurpose building will be considered by the city Plan Commission on April 8, and if it makes it through, the City Council could take it up on April 16. The developer, the Opus Group, would like the building to include ground-floor commercial space and five stories of rental space.
Situated across the street from Camp Randall Stadium, The Stadium Bar is famous for its football Saturday pre-game and post-game tailgate parties, which attract thousands.
