In a unanimous decision, the Madison Plan Commission has denied Edgewood High School’s request for lights at its athletic field at 2210 Monroe St., according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport.
Residential neighbors have been consistent in their opposition to the improvements, citing increased disturbance to the neighborhood. Supporters of the request believe the lights are needed to compete with other schools and survive as an institution.
