Visual search engine Pinterest reported Friday that shares had fallen 22% after tariffs hurt the business, CNBC reported.
Because of the tariffs, major retailers did not advertise on the platform as much, resulting in lower-than-expected fourth-quarter earnings.
Revenue was at $1.32 billion. Net income for the quarter dipped 85% to $277 million from $1.85 billion the prior year.
Pinterest expects first-quarter sales to be between $951 million and $971 million.
