The city of Madison is promoting a new program to bring food cart vendors to crowds enjoying city parks this summer and fall, according to a report from Wisconsin State Journal. The pilot program, Carts in Parks, is funded through a $50,000 National Association of City Transportation Officials grant with support from Bloomberg Philanthropies. Madison is one of only 10 cities in the nation and Canada selected to participate in this second round of grants from the partnership. The program will begin July 25 and extend into fall with daily food cart vending in 20 Madison city parks.
