WEA Member Benefits employees were able to raise $4,070, a new record, for United Way thanks to its annual pie toss event.

WEA was created by Wisconsin educators for Wisconsin educators to help guide them during financial planning. It offers retirement savings programs, financial planning, and auto, home, and umbrella insurance to Wisconsin public educators and their families.

Staff members are able to bid on their coworkers to receive a pie in the face, and compete to be the one delivering the pie.

“Watching our team rally around a fun event like this shows what WEA Member Benefits is all about,” WEA Member Benefits President Dave Kijek said in a statement. “We take pride in supporting causes that strengthen our communities – and we’re never afraid to have a little fun doing it.”
