According to a Wisconsin State Journal report, Physicians Plus has dropped a complaint it filed last July alleging that Unity Health Plans and UW Health had improperly restrained competition in the health insurance market in southern Wisconsin. In the complaint, Physicians Plus claimed that UW Health and Unity had forced employers to drop Physicians Plus and had demanded higher prices from the HMO than from competitors. According to a July 24 letter from Physicians Plus Vice President Tom Luddy, Physicians Plus was able to reach a resolution with Unity and UW Health over the issues described in the complaint.
