California-based Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals is planning to bring 250 jobs to the area with a new facility to make genetic treatments, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The new 13-acre manufacturing campus in the Verona Technology Park will begin construction this winter and is expected to begin manufacturing operations by 2024. The 108,000-square-foot plant includes two buildings, 236 parking stalls, and a new pond to the west of the site for stormwater. The location will manufacture genetic treatments for hard-to-treat diseases. The company says the mix of positions created will pay five times the minimum wage. The company has locations in Madison’s University Research Park and in San Diego and Pasadena, California.
