Two third-party certification agencies from Cottage Grove have merged. PFS Corporation and Timberco Inc. (TECO), merged on May 1.
The companies provide certification and testing services for many building products, including engineered wood products, softwood and hardwood plywood, metal-plate connected wood trusses, adhesives, and more. The companies have offices in six states and also operate in Canada, Europe, South America, Russia, China, and Japan.
Since 2009, TECO has been part of a team of experts working with Major League Baseball to reduce the number of broken bats in major league games as part of the MLB Bat Supplier Program.
