Downtown Madison will welcome a new restaurant, Mishqui Peruvian Bistro, next month, The Capital Times reports. The establishment will be the third Peruvian restaurant added to Cynthia Garcia’s Mishqui Cocina Peruana restaurant group.
Garcia opened the first Mishqui restaurant in Monona in 2022 and added the second one in Middleton in March of last year. The newest addition will have a soft opening March 17 at 225 King St. in The Madison Mark building.
The spot will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days per week. Its menu will include empanadas, rotisserie chicken, stir-fry, pasta, seafood, and more. It will also offer plant-based dishes and vegan and gluten-free desserts. Garcia is applying for a liquor license for the new location and plans to have a full bar.
Mishqui Peruvian Bistro will be open Sunday–Thursday from 7 a.m.–9 p.m. and Friday–Saturday from 7 a.m.–10 p.m.
