Kaba Bah and Jerreh Kujabi are seeking $350,000 in city funding to help finance a $1.3 million proposal to renovate the former Visions strip club at 3554 E. Washington Ave. into a neighborhood grocery store, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. Among affordable, culturally-relevant grocery items, the store would carry items for West African immigrants who live in the Madison community. Bah and Kujabi immigrated from the Gambia more than 20 years ago.
