Parking a car to take to the skies may cost a little bit more as a Dane County committee considers raising the price of parking at the Dane County Regional Airport, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.
The airport parking prices have remained unchanged since 2008. An increase could support additional parking structures, as the price rise would bring the county revenue up by about $1.47 million.
Proposed costs could see maximum daily rates increase from $8 to $12 in the surface lot, and $6 to $10 in the economy parking lot. A max rate for parking in a daily parking ramp for 24 hours would increase from $10 to $14, and the maximum rate for the hourly parking ramp would increase to $20.
Alliant Energy Center’s parking proposal would raise rates from $8 to $10 for most vehicles, with bus prices rising to $30 from $24.
