Welton Enterprises has downsized a project on South Park Street, but according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport, it still doesn’t meet certain city design guidelines.

Welton has decreased the size of a grocery store and reduced the number of mixed-income apartments by 17 (from 69 to 52 units).

By downsizing, Welton’s TIF request has been reduced by about $1.4 million to between $3.1 million and $3.4 million, and no longer requires a parking structure. The scaled-back project is under review.
