In a filing with the Wisconsin Supreme Court, a group of parents and private religious schools are asking to have Public Health of Madison and Dane County’s Emergency Order No. 9 voided so that children in grades 3 through 12 can attend school in person, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport.

The lawsuit filed by 14 parents, five religious schools, and interest groups asserts that the local health department’s response to COVID-19 infringes on the right to worship and to education.
