Panera Bread’s new “Mix & Match” value menu is a first for the company, CNBC reported.
The menu is part of CEO Paul Carbone’s strategy to add affordability to the food chain.
Each of the 10 items on the menu are priced at $4.99, but customers have to buy at least two items from the menu.
Panera was once ranked as the top fast-casual restaurant in the U.S. but now sits at third behind Chipotle Mexican Grill and Panda Express.
Panera sales dropped 5% to $6.1 billion in 2024.
