The University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Center for Research on the Wisconsin Economy and the Department of Economics will host a panel discussion on Sept. 16 centered on “The Economic Impact of Cuts to Federal Research Funding.”
Panelists include:

Lawrence Berger, associate vice chancellor for research in the social sciences;

Rob Cramer, vice chancellor for finance and administration;

Fleming Crim, John E. Willard professor and the Hilldale professor of chemistry emeritus; and
-
Robert Golden, dean emeritus for the School of Medicine and Public Health.
The event will be held in Tripp Commons at Memorial Union, 800 Langdon St. The panel discussion will run from 4-5 p.m., followed by a nacho bar reception from 5-6 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
