The Green Bay Packers, in partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County and the Urban League of Greater Madison, are inviting middle school students in the Madison area to participate in “Empower,” an Aug. 16 leadership event aimed at inspiring students to be positive leaders. The free, daylong event will take place at Breese Stevens Field, at 917 E. Mifflin St., from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. and feature a variety of leadership activities and programs aimed at students entering sixth through ninth grade for the 2022–23 school year. The event will also feature a keynote presentation from former Packer Antonio Freeman, plus lunch and T-shirts for participants. The event is fully funded by the Packers. Registration is available online on a first-come, first-serve basis and will close on July 29.
