Forbes’ annual ranking of NFL team values is out, and the Green Bay Packers currently rank 13th out of 32 teams with a team value of $1.375 billion. The estimate was based in part on 2013 revenues of $299 million and operating income of $26 million.
Jerry Jones’ Dallas Cowboys continue to hold the top spot, with a 2013 team value of $3.2 billion, revenue of $560 million, and operating income of $246 million. Rounding out the top five are the New England Patriots, the Washington Redskins, the New York Giants, and the Houston Texans.
The Chicago Bears come in at number eight, with a team value of $1.7 billion, revenue of $309 million, and operating income of $57 million. The defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks are ranked 15th.
According to Forbes, the average NFL team is currently worth $1.43 billion, which is 23% higher than last year and the highest average value since the magazine started tracking team finances 17 years ago.
