A new Indian restaurant opened July 4 at 128 State St. A in Madison, The Capital Times reports.
Ashirwad Indian Restaurant currently serves a limited menu focused primarily on Indian staples like chicken tikka masala, palak paneer and lamb biryani. In the future, owners Ashim Malla, Suzy Karki and Mitra Poudel plan to expand the menu with Indian fusion dishes that incorporate Italian, Mexican and Chinese flavors as well.
The restaurant seats about 70. It is open Tuesday-Sunday each week from 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
Malla and Karki also own The Globe, an international fusion restaurant on State Street, and Triangle Market, a historic convenience store that offers daily tours.
