The owners of Mineral Point’s The Cider Farm, which produces cider and apple brandy, on Friday opened a new cider-centric restaurant at 881 W. Verona Ave. in Verona, according to The Capital Times. John Biondi and Deirdre Birmingham are planning a grand opening in May when the patio opens.
Chef Ian Hutchins, formerly of Buck & Honey’s, leads the kitchen at Orchard, which offers a seasonal menu with burgers, cheese curds, Neapolitan-style pizzas, flatbread, fish and steak. The food and drink menus incorporate products from The Cider Farm orchard, and an internal retail space sells cider and brandy from the farm along with other local spirits.
The new spot is open Tuesday-Thursday from 3-8 p.m., Friday from 3-9 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. It is closed on Mondays.
