Bill and Jack von Rutenberg, the owners of Madison’s Betty Lou Cruises and Mariner’s Inn, have announced plans for their 2025 retirement, WMTV15 reports. They intend to retire after Labor Day weekend next year.

The future of the property, including both the lake cruise company and the steak house, is currently uncertain. Betty Lou Cruises and Mariner’s Inn have been operational for 28 and 60 years, respectively. Bill and Betty von Rutenberg, the owners’ parents, started a number of businesses under von Rutenberg Ventures.
