To offset the loss of revenue due to the COVID-19 closure, the Overture Center has raised $2.2 million for its Intermission Campaign, according to a statement from the organization.
The goal for the campaign was $1.5 million by Dec.31, 2020, and the organization received a state grant plus 2,200 donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations. An anonymous donor matched all donations during the last month of the campaign. Overture Center has been closed since March 13, 2020 and has suspended performances and in-person programs.
