Outback Steakhouse in Madison on Junction Road closed last week, with a total of 21 of the chain restaurants nationwide closing in October, according to a CNN report.
Parent company Bloomin’ Brands said Thursday that an additional 22 locations will not have leases renewed and will close over the next four years.
Outback has 670 remaining locations in the U.S. A decade ago, it had 750.
Bloomin’ Brands said it is injecting $75 million into an Outback turnaround plan over the next three years, with new menus and improved steaks part of the plan.
