Oshkosh Corp.’s defense division received two orders from the U.S. Army, including a $243 million order to provide 657 joint light tactical vehicles and related equipment to replace a large number of legacy Humvees — used by the Army and the Marine Corps — with lighter, protected vehicles.

A day after that announcement, the company announced a $430 million order to upgrade more than 1,200 heavy tactical vehicles and build another 345 trailers. All of the work will occur in Oshkosh.
