Oshkosh Corp. has announced that cuts to the federal defense budget will force the company to slash about 700 hourly and 60 salaried positions beginning in June. The majority of the cuts will affect retiring employees or temporary workers. Oshkosh Corp. manufactures tactical wheeled vehicles and other equipment for the military. After the cuts, the company will employ about 1,850 in Oshkosh.
