According to a press release from Kraft Heinz Food Co., the first round of terminations at the Madison Oscar Mayer plant will begin in February and are expected to affect 141 employees.

Kraft Heinz announced in November it was closing the Madison facility, along with six other manufacturing facilities, over the next two years.

Layoffs are expected to take place between Feb. 26 and June 24. The Madison Oscar Mayer facility employs 1,000 people.

The South Central Workforce Development Board is partnering with Oscar Mayer to provide rapid response services to affected employees, according to the release.
