The Madison Landmarks Commission has unanimously approved a proposal from Orpheum Theater owners Gus and Mary Paras to remove the building’s brick exterior in favor of granite, which is similar to the theater’s original marble facing but more weatherproof. New doors and playbill displays were also approved.
