Orion Energy Systems posted a net loss of $1.9 million, or $0.09 per share, for the first quarter of fiscal 2013, a higher loss than the $800,000, or $0.03 per share, reported in the first quarter of fiscal 2012.
The Manitowoc-based company, which produces energy-efficient lighting and systems, also reported revenues of $15.3 million, a 16% decrease from the $18.2 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2012.
