Bill’s Food Center, Oregon’s only grocery store, has been sold to Hy-Vee after 44 years in business, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal.
The last day for Bill’s Food Center will be Jan. 29, and then the store, located at 787 N. Main St., will be closed for about a week while Hy-Vee does some remodeling. It is scheduled to reopen in February, and Hy-Vee will retain all the store’s employees who want to stay.
