Orchid Escape has returned to the Bolz Conservatory at Olbrich Botanical Gardens, according to WMTV15, with over 1,000 orchids on display. Some of the flowers are from Olbrich itself, and others are donated by area vendors.

The display, this year with the theme “Rise of the Angiosperm,” creates a family-friendly educational experience about the first flowering plants, which appeared during the Cretaceous Period.

Orchid Escape began today and will run through Sunday, March 3. The gardens will be open from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. daily. Additional information is available online.
