The One Stop Business Portal launched on Wednesday, offering small business owners in Wisconsin an online clearinghouse intended to streamline the glut of paperwork that’s often an impediment to getting a new small business off the ground. The new site is a joint venture between the Wisconsin Interactive Network and the state.
OpenForBusiness.wi.gov consolidates forms from the Department of Financial Institutions, the Department of Revenue, and the Department of Workforce Development in one place so new small business owners can spend less time stressing about paperwork.
The state plans to soon include permits, licenses, and registrations from other departments on the site, and user information will also be stored within the site so users can easily retrieve it when necessary.
