Monroe Street American bistro One & Only is set to close after just under two years, according to Madison Magazine. The closure was announced May 15, and owners cited the business’ financial viability behind the decision.

The spot offered elevated cuisine including beef tartare and pork chops. While the surrounding neighborhood reportedly responded well to the restaurant, financial uncertainty across the industry made maintaining the business difficult, owners said.

One & Only will maintain its usual hours of operation through May 29. The restaurant will be closed for a private function on May 30 and host a goodbye party on May 31. Drinks will be available for purchase, along with appetizers free of charge.
