One Barrel, the brewery formerly located at 2001 Atwood Ave. in Madison, has a tentative plan for a taproom, brewery, event space and standalone restaurant at The Abbey Bar location at 303 Reid St. In De Pere.
Plans for the 7,200 square-foot space still need to be approved by De Pere’s city council, but the finance and personnel committee have already approved the proposed purchase and renovation, WBAY reported.
One Barrel closed its Madison location in 2023 after 11 years in business and said in a statement that it had “plans for a new Madison area beer garden/taproom,” which have yet to come to fruition.
It opened a taproom and beer garden in Egg Harbor in 2019 with a Pizza Bros inside.
