The 97-year-old AnchorBank name becomes a thing of the past on Friday, Sept. 9, when Old National Bank signs are unveiled.
Old National acquired Anchor’s 46 Wisconsin locations on May 1 in a $462.6 million cash and stock transaction. As part of the transition, 115 AnchorBank jobs — including about six executive positions — will be lost, but that’s 25 fewer than was originally projected.
The bank’s Sherman Avenue location in Madison will be the only branch hanging on to the AnchorBank name for a while longer.
Indiana-based Old National has about $12 billion in assets and operates 160 locations across Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, and Michigan.
