Oil prices soar to $100 per barrel, stocks dip

With the U.S.-Iran war still ongoing, the price of oil has reached $100 per barrel, and stocks are dipping, the Associated Press reported 

The S&P 500 fell 1.1% and has seesawed in recent days. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 1.2% as of 12:15 p.m. Eastern time, and the Nasdaq composite was 1.4% lower. 

The price of a barrel of Brent crude, the international standard, climbed 7.9% to $99.25 after briefly reaching $101.59.
