James Vanderloo, head of OEC Group’s Milwaukee branch, has been invited by the Madison International Trade Association to speak on a logistics panel for Wisconsin World Trade Day on May 19.
He will discuss effective strategies Wisconsin businesses can use to navigate tariffs, energy shortages and other global trade challenges.
“Too often, businesses don’t realize where their biggest supply chain risks are until something goes wrong,” Vanderloo said in a statement. “Every importer and exporter should be paying attention to their supply chains and how current geopolitical events are affecting their businesses. Understanding issues such as compliance, documentation, and strategy isn’t just helpful, it can be the difference between a business succeeding or failing.”
Vanderloo will provide insight into export and import controls and licensing, documentation requirements, INCOTERMS, cargo insurance, overall shipping strategy and more.
The trade association event will also feature other organizations such as the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, Trade Acceptance Group, Ltd., US Commercial Service Milwaukee, WCTC School of Business, Gamber Johnson LLC, Platinum Cargo Logistics, Amundsen Davis LLC and LR International, which will discuss other facets of logistics and trade.
