Madison’s largest retirement care organization, Oakwood Village, has named Janice Hamilton-Crawford its new CEO, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. The announcement follows the departure of Oakwood Village’s previous CEO in December amid some residents’ concerns about his financial decisions and credentials.
Hamilton-Crawford was named CEO of Michigan-based Trinity Health Senior Communities in May 2022. She left in January and will be CEO of Oakwood Village beginning Oct. 31.
Hamilton-Crawford previously worked for Catholic nonprofit Trinity starting in 2018 as president of its New England Senior Communities and for 30 years at Catholic Texas-based nonprofit Christus Health System as president. She has also been active in the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Hospital Association, and Catholic Health Association.
