Oak Bank is giving $25,000 to Agrace in Fitchburg, supporting the Ellen and Peter Johnson

Dementia Village and the Day Club Leadership Office.

Agrace’s Dementia Village is a forthcoming neighborhood-style care community inspired by the internationally recognized Hogeweyk model in the Netherlands.

The village will feature small household-style homes, shared living spaces and secure outdoor areas that encourage social connection and everyday routines.

The Day Club Leadership Office will be a central hub within the Dementia Village that will guide programming, services and caregiver support for day club participants and residents.

“At Oak Bank, we believe thriving communities are built through compassion, innovation and partnership,” said Terry Taylor, president and CEO of Oak Bank. “We are honored to support the Agrace Dementia Village and help ensure individuals living with dementia and their families have access to thoughtful, person-centered care right here in Fitchburg.”

The Agrace Dementia Village is being supported through a community capital campaign.
