Nvidia to invest $5B in Intel

Nvidia on Thursday announced that it is investing $5 billion into Intel and will collaborate with the semiconductor company on products, the Associated Press reports.

Nvidia said in a press release that it will team up with Intel to work on custom data centers that will serve as key infrastructure for artificial intelligence, as well as personal computer products.

The chipmaker said it will spend $5 million to buy Intel common stock at $23.28 per share.

The investment is subject to regulatory approvals.
