Despite AI chip maker Nvidia reporting a profit of $43 billion on Wednesday, its stock dropped 4.6%, the Associated Press reported.
The AP said Nvidia is used to having “blowout performances,” and that Wall Street is not responding positively. But most stocks within it rose.
The S&P 500 fell 1.1%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.4%, as of 11:52 a.m. Central Time, and the Nasdaq Composite was 1.8% lower.
As of 2 p.m., they sat at 6,911, 49,533 and 22,873, respectively.
