The towns of Two Creeks, Two Rivers and Mishicot approved resolutions for Manitowoc County to implement a one-year moratorium on new data center projects in the northeast Wisconsin towns.

The decision came after Cloverleaf Infrastructure, a Texas-based company, made offers to property owners in the towns to purchase land for a potential data center project, Wisconsin Public Radio reported.

Cloverleaf previously helped start a data center project in the city of Port Washington.
