The Madison-based Nordic has announced that it’s taking the first step beyond Epic-focused consulting with the acquisition of the revenue cycle transformation practice of The Claro Group.
With the acquisition, Nordic moves into the realm of technology-agnostic management consulting, which it believes will complement Epic’s revenue cycle solutions.
Claro Group Managing Directors Cathy Smith and Shannon Yasseri will continue in their roles and lead the complementary set of revenue cycle services for Nordic. During their tenure, The Claro Group appeared on Modern Healthcare’s list of largest revenue-cycle consulting firms in 2015 and 2016.
Epic CEO Bruce Cerullo called the acquisition another step in creating customized, end-to-end solutions for clients, and says it will enable Nordic to provide a range of complementary services.
For Claro, headquartered in Chicago, the transaction is an opportunity to re-focus on its core businesses of payment disputes, claims, and investigations.
