Madison is gaining a daily nonstop flight to San Francisco thanks to an agreement between United Airlines and the Dane County Regional Airport. It is the first nonstop flight from Madison to California and reportedly will cost about $300 round trip.
The news is particularly exciting because of the potential to directly connect Wisconsin’s high-tech industry with California’s venture capital market.
Beginning June 7, passengers can depart Madison at 3:11 p.m. daily and arrive in San Francisco at 5:45 p.m. Pacific time. The return daily flight will leave San Francisco at 8:30 a.m. and arrives in Madison at 2:35 p.m. Central time.
Tickets are on sale now.
