Local nonprofit The Zeteo Community will host a benefit to raise funds for the construction of safe housing for women who have faced sexual exploitation, as well as their children, Channel3000 reports. The organization, founded nearly nine years ago, provides a variety of support services for individuals affected by sex trafficking.
The Setting Sail benefit will be held May 1 at Monona Terrace. The ticket deadline is Monday, April 21.
The nonprofit has secured property and begun work on part of the project but requires additional donations and help from the community. Interested individuals can find opportunities to volunteer, donate or purchase tickets here.
