Madison nonprofit Seein’ is Believin’ — which provides resources for mental health and life readiness to area youth — will host an interactive community workshop on Friday, Dec. 20 to help youth, parents/guardians, and other community members to process grief and find hope, Madison365 reports. “Pathways to Healing: A Community Grief & Resilience Workshop” will be held at MyArts, 1055 E. Mifflin St., from 4–6 p.m.

The news follows Monday’s shooting at Abundant Life Christian School, which killed three — including the suspect — and left several injured. Friday’s event will provide coping skills, opportunities to connect, and breakout sessions led by community advocates and certified youth mental health first aid trainers. There will also be interactive activities like creative art therapy, storytelling, and guided mindfulness exercises.

The event is free and open to all ages. Walk-ins are welcome, but preregistration is encouraged.
