Nominations open for 2025 Governor’s Financial Literacy Awards

The Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions recently announced the Governor’s Council on Financial Literacy and Capability is accepting nominations for the 2025 Governor’s Financial Literacy Awards through late November.

The awards recognize individuals and organizations for increasing financial literacy, capability and inclusion among Wisconsin residents.

Nominations may be made in one of three categories:

  • Individual;

    Advertisement
  • Organization/Business; and

  • Legacy.

Criteria that will be used to judge the nominations include the innovative implementation of an effective financial literacy and capability program or program element within the last two years; a financial inclusion emphasis; demonstrated measurable results; collaboration with partners; and scalability of program design.

Nominations must be submitted via an online form by Nov. 21.

The council will select recipients in December and award recipients in 2026.
