The Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters announced in a recent press release the opening of the nomination period for its 2024 Wisconsin Academy Fellows Awards, which recognizes Wisconsinites with extraordinary levels of accomplishment in their fields as well as a lifelong commitment to intellectual discourse and public service.

Nominations for the 2024 Fellows Award are being accepted until Nov. 31. The 2024 Academy Fellows will be publicly announced in March. Honorees will receive their award at a ceremony in summer 2024, with location and date to be determined.

The Academy Fellows Award recognizes educators, researchers, mentors, artists, and civic or business leaders from across Wisconsin. Being selected as a fellow is the highest recognition conferred by the Wisconsin Academy. Fellows are honored for demonstrating the highest levels of artistic, scientific, written, and service accomplishments, or some cross-disciplinary combination of these in their careers, and for their dedication to respectful, civil discourse and public service that benefits the well-being of the people of Wisconsin. Nominated individuals must also have or have had a relationship with the state of Wisconsin. Anyone in Wisconsin can make a nomination.
